This department was started in August 2017, having performed more than 5000 successful surgeries it is one of the core departments in the hospital that provides all- through week outpatient department services, in addition to elective and emergency services.

Minimally Invasive surgery is one of its strengths with many advanced procedures being done routinely.

Academics and continuous upgrading have not taken a back seat in spite of good clinical work, and we are running a DNB program in family medicine with a second batch of the same.

Bariatric surgery

Obesity is a condition where a person’s body mass index(BMI) is more than 27.5. It is becoming a global pandemic as a part of metabolic syndrome in our country, which was earlier a disease of developed nations. We are a Centre par excellence for Bariatric surgery, the first one in this area, having done more than 500 surgeries both in team and independently with excellent results.
