The Department of Medical Oncology offers cancer treatment provided by a team of qualified medical oncologists experienced in diagnosis, treatment planning and followup with chemotherapy, hormonal, biological and targeted therapy.
The department of Radiation Oncology has been conceptualized to provide patient centric, state of the art Radiotherapy treatment of international standards. Kainos Health is equipped with a wide spectrum of conventional as well as high precision Radiation Oncology facilities and radiotherapy techniques such as IGRT, IMRT, VMAT. This is the first Radiation Therapy Center of Rohtak and neighbouring 15 districts catering to more than 1 crore of polulation.
Kainos provides advanced laparoscopic surgical techniques to patients with gastrointestinal cancer. Patients can get ontologically sound surgeries for Colorectal and Liver Cancers with minimal access technique, thus ensuring faster recovery & quick return to normal life.
Kainos offers a surgical service for the prevention, diagnosis, staging, treatment & care of women with gynecological cancer. Gynecological cancers include cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, ovarian cancer, vaginal cancer & vulva cancer. The department utilizes the full gamut of cuttingedge surgical techniques, from ultra radical pelvic and abdominal surgery for ovarian cancer to minimal incision laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery for cervical and endometrial cancer. Preventive oncology is given equal importance as the department conducts regular free cancer screening camps Our team of expert is made up of cancer surgeons, medical & radiation oncologists, clinical nurse specialists, radiologists, pathologists, and physiotherapists amongst others. Women are cared for by this multidisciplinary team who will plan their management of care and rehabilitation with them every step on the way. Palliative care, pain management and home based care are also provided for terminal patients.
Haematooncology is the study of blood related cancers. Blood related cancers account for approximately 10% of all cancers and are primarily leukaemias, lymphomas and multiple myeloma. A wider range of treatments are required for patients with lymphomas or myeloma, including chemotherapy, radiotherapy and sometimes surgery.
Head & Neck cancer has a team of recognized surgical oncologists, ENT, otolaryngologists, audiologists as well as pain and palliative specialists. We emphasise on organ preservation and restoration of form, function by reconstructive surgery, radiation treatment and rehabilitation.
Breast cancer unit has a team of oncoplastic surgeons, radiation oncologists, pain and palliative care specialists who work together to ensure high success rates in microvascular reconstruction of breasts using tissues from the stomach.
Treatment of bone and soft tissue cancer patients at Kainos has a multidisciplinary approach similar to other disciplines in Oncology, wherein a multidisciplinary team consisting of dedicated Orthopaedic Cancer Surgeons, Interventional Radiologists, Pathologists, Medical Oncology Consultants and Radiation Oncology Consultants administer the treatment. Limb salvage surgery, a need of the hour treatment, is routinely done here in collaboration with plastic and reconstructive surgeons. If the patient is diagnosed at an early stage and the cancer is localized, then it is resectable with good margin and noncancerous till date, with a functioning limb in addition to life can be offered.
The treatment of children and young adults with cancer is known as Paediatric Oncology. Cancers in children are of two broad types:
Pain is the most common and dreaded symptom in cancer patients. The pain clinic is designed to provide relief from pain sufferings. We also deal with the psychological, spiritual, social and occupational distress in patients as they may lead to increased perception of physical pain.
Experienced team of surgical oncologists at Kainos ensure surgical removal of the tumour at the site of occurrence. The patients are explained on the process involved in surgery and the recuperation time. Nutritionists and rehab specialists support the patient during the process of recovery. Reconstructive surgeons work on the restoration of the appearance of the body based on the condition of the patient.
The multidisciplinary team in the department of Uro Oncology offers compassionate care for those diagnosed with prostate cancer, kidney cancer, bladder cancer and testicular cancer. Treatment options offered include medical, surgical and management of tumour through chemo and radiation therapy.
