Medical oncology covers the drug treatment of cancer — chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy and hormonal treatment — planned around the specific type and stage of disease.

Led by a DM-qualified medical oncologist, the unit runs day-care chemotherapy so most patients return home the same evening, with protocols matched to international guidelines and close monitoring for side effects.
