Imaging that the whole hospital runs on.
Almost every diagnosis leans on imaging. At Kainos, ultrasound, CT and MRI run under the supervision of FRCR-qualified radiologists — a UK qualification rarely seen outside metro hospitals — and reports are read in clinical context and discussed directly with the treating doctors.
Emergency imaging is available around the clock, because a scanner that sleeps at night is no use to a trauma hospital. Image-guided biopsies, drainage and interventional procedures are carried out by the same team; the full range is set out on our Interventional Radiology page.
